
Regional Marina and Property Manager
Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a property management group that is in search of a Regional Marina and Specialty Property Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity, offering competitive pay, benefits and 20% bonus while working onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement
- Routinely inspect all areas of the property and the physical plant to ensure impeccable appearance and a safe environment.
- Collaborate with Project Manager to coordinate construction including purchasing forklift and hiring forklift operators.
- Setting up software for customer launching and marketing.
- Setting up new business segments and creating standard operating procedures, must be present during the busy hours to efficiently enforce this.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise all personnel and/or contract labor either directly or via departmental supervisors, including disciplinary coaching and development for three different marina locations.
During the off-season, this person will be responsible for improving and building the business. There will also be a lot of construction development activity going on at each of the properties during this time.
Requirements:
- Five years of management experience which includes direction of personnel, accounting and related budgeting activities, inventory control, marketing, and customer relations.
- Marine related experience required. Marina management experience is a plus!
- General accounting knowledge and basic understanding of financial statements.
- Proven ability to communicate professionally and build consensus with employees, customers, tenants, vendors, and government personnel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day weekend, 50 to 60 hours will be expected during the summer season. There will be some flexibility during the off-season.
- This person will need to be available on some weekends to spend time at the three properties to observe operations and staff.
- Regular traveling will be a big part of this role, around three to four time a month initially. Some travel could potentially be made in a day but some overnights would be necessary.
