Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing manufacturer of industrial machinery parts who is hiring a Welding Technician to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity working 6:30am-3pm Monday-Friday, offering competitive wages and excellent benefits!
Responsibilities:
- Welding Technician will improve welding quality, consistency, and efficiency to reduce welding rework
- Technician will schedule, prepare, and coordinate welder qualification testing
- Technician will calibrate welding machines, rod ovens, heat treatment furnaces, etc.
- Technician will develop processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency of setup, preheating, welding, post welding heat treatment in welding areas
- Technician will maintain welder continuity records, weld log control
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a 2 year engineering related degree and a minimum of 5 years experience working in manufacturing environments
- Candidates must have 3+ years welding experience
- Candidates must have experience or ability to perform SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW and PAW processes
- Candidates must have experience with welding technologies, metallurgy, materials and machining
- Candidates with CAD design, CNC Machining, and robotic welder programming a plus
- Candidates with welding certifications preferred
- Previous experience with nuclear requirements a plus
