Accentuate Staffing  is seeking multiple Vaccine Support Specialists for a contract assignment through Summer of 2021 throughout North Carolina.

The Vaccine Support Specialist will work onsite their local county health department and provide administrative support to the Vaccine Coordinator and perform other admin duties associated with the COVID19 vaccine. This position is required to work onsite and is a temporary need based on the efforts of COVID vaccinations throughout North Carolina. Some travel to surrounding health departments will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to: Vaccine Coordinator – maintain daily communication and manage assigned tasks in support of North Carolina local health departments.
  • Answer telephone lines on-site at health department or remote clinics and provide community support.
  • Schedule appointments for community members to receive vaccine and maintain accurate appointment information.
  • Prepare registration packets, patient education forms, other forms supplied by health department.
  • Scanning or uploading documentation into local health department databases or DHHS systems.
  • Support vaccine clinic logistics:
  • Collect information from individuals on their temperature, COVID19 symptoms, allergies, and medications, and signed consent forms
  • Assist in site set-up and break-down (tables, chairs) excluding handling of any vaccine materials, contaminated areas, or waste products
  • Assist in directing individuals on-site to different stations where they need to go
  • Assist with distribution of available any PPE offered by the LHD to individuals
  • Must be able to travel within assigned region.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Access to a computer for data entry.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English clearly – bilingual is a PLUS!
  • Experience and ability to handle confidential information responsibly and in adherence to federal regulation and North Carolina guidelines.
  • Familiarity with North Carolina regions and communities preferred.
  • Must hold a valid drivers license and be able and willing to commute as needed, including a personal vehicle and insurance for said transportation.
  • Experience and understanding in community engagement, customer service and data entry.
  • Ability to exhibit a professional and positive attitude and a good work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize workload, set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow directions given by assigned local health department and vaccine coordinator to ensure the needs of the program are being met.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse populations during a time of crisis and distress
  • Ability to think critically and use good judgement in all decision making
  • Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • The job environment is onsite at a Local Health Department or designated off site clinic.
  • Significant travel though the region and North Carolina will be required
  • Routinely there may be some minor physical inconveniences or discomforts in the work setting, including sitting for moderate periods of time, prolonged standing, lifting, pushing, and repetitive wrist motion
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds or more without assistance.
  • The job environment can be intense as high volume, repetitive work is an expectation.
