Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting a Supply Chain Director for a wholesale furniture distributor in the Holly Springs, NC area. The Supply Chain Director will manage all activities within the distribution center regarding logistics, sourcing and procurement. This person will be a key member of the Leadership team. This is a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Drive supply chain efficiency and cost improvement for eCommerce and sales channels
- Analyze, recommend, and make improvements for business processes, technology, and lead strategic direction
- Provide leadership and direction for all activities within distribution center
- Proactively lead cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities
- Seek improvements for new IT tools and analytics to monitor forecast levels of demand
- Work hand in hand with Sales and Marketing teams regarding slow moving products
- Act as mentor and advocate for warehouse staff and managers
- Lead supply chain development and performance – supervise 40+ employees and contractors
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of staff and recommend promotions, merit increases, and transfers
- Interview candidates and recommend candidates for hire
Requirements:
- 4 Year Bachelor’s degree required: preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Transportation/Logistics. Master’s Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within supply chain management, logistics, planning, etc.
- Previous experience in Senior Management or Director level leadership in e-Commerce Supply Chain
- E-commerce experience and working with key retailers
- Strong leadership experience and ability to develop and grow staff
- Experience with US and International vendors / manufacturers / importers understanding their competencies and potential shortfalls within varying market conditions
- Experience with Oracle and/or WMS
- Strong background with reporting and experience working within MS Office products
