Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Staff Accountant to join a growing company in Raleigh, NC. The Staff Accountant works collaboratively with other associates in leading the company toward its long-term vision. An employee in this role manages daily and longer-term tasks associated with the accounting functions of the company.   This is a Direct Hire opportunity with competitive pay, bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares all transactions and activities associated with Employee Expenses.
  • Processes Vendor invoices and all journal entries associated with accounts payable.
  • Ensures timely and accurate collection of time and other data necessary for producing employee payroll.
  • Administration of fixed assets, including depreciation, acquisitions, and disposal schedules.
  • Prepares journal entries for general ledger and customer accounts.
  • Prepares journal entries and all activities related to prepaid expenses.
  • Analyzes and records information, data, or figures using source documents.
  • Compares data in documents to verify accuracy.
  • Prepares schedules for the quarterly Balance Sheet review.
  • Assists with yearly audits.
  • Maintains finance and accounting records by record keeping, adjusting, reconciling, posting, computing, and/or balancing figures to ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Assists with financial analysis, ad-hoc assignments, and related calculations.
  • Balance bank accounts.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed.
  • With the Accounting Team, Supervises the Accounting Administrative Intern.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business administration.
  • Three to five years of overall accounting experience, ideally in the A/E/C industry.Good problem-solving skills combined with a questioning attitude that probes issues and seeks resolutions compatible with the immediate financial well-being of the Company.
  • Knowledge of: MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and strong proficiency with Deltek Vision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage all communications with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Works well independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
