Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a hybrid Staff Accountant for our client in Morrisville, NC. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various financial operations and cash management, playing a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial month-end close processes. This is a temporary position.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of accounts receivable, customer invoicing, and collections.
  • Oversee revenue recognition including reconciliation of deferred revenue and reallocations.
  • Administer accounts payable, including processing electronic payments to suppliers.
  • Lead the month-end closing process, including reconciliation and documentation of balance sheet accounts, calculation of sales commissions, recording accruals, and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report gross margin analysis by product group.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report cost accounting data; review inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies regarding cost analyses and profitability.
  • Year-end preparations for annual audit, Form 1099 and Form 3921 reporting.
  • Assist with budget preparations to ensure financial planning and control.
  • Provide backup support for payroll functions when necessary.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience is required, preferably in manufacturing, software, or technology.
  • Experience with NetSuite is required; Mastery of NetSuite as a super-user preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, strong organizational skills, and the capability to manage and drive workload to completion with a sense of urgency while maintaining flexibility.
  • Excellent analytical, computational, time/task management, interpersonal communication, and writing skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
