
Sr. Automation Technician
Accentuate Staffing is assisting a global pharmaceutical manufacturer who is looking for an Automation Technician to join their team and help expand their state-of-the-art production operations. This is a direct hire opportunity working 1st shift, 12 hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with process control and automation systems
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on control system equipment
- Assist with the installation, startup, and testing of new automation hardware
- Support system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Help maintain spare parts inventory for automation and control equipment
- Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Work with vendors and contractors to implement equipment improvements
- Follow GMP, safety, and quality standards in all maintenance activities
- Document maintenance activities and support change control processes
- Participate in training and continue developing technical knowledge of plant control systems
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering, Computer Technology, or a related technical field with 8+ years of industrial automation or process controls experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 12+ years of related experience
- Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining automated manufacturing or process control systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills with automation hardware, control systems, and PLC programming
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies: PLCs; HMI, DCS, or SCADA systems; DeltaV
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MES systems, PAS-X a plus
- Willingness to work overtime or adjusted schedules when needed
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, beverage, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus
