Accentuate Staffing is current working with a growing Medical Device Company in Raleigh, NC who is seeking a Senior Accountant.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements prior to review by management
  • Prepare the F pages for inclusion in the Company’s 10K/Q
  • Reconcile certain general ledger accounts, analyze and verify financial data and account reports
  • Equity accounting
  • Manage debt compliance reporting
  • Raise appropriate journal entries
  • Compile information for finance team regarding accounting policies and procedures, provide overall support for the general accounting needs of the Company
  • Support meeting reporting due dates and requirements imposed by management and external auditors. Support includes monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting packages, submissions for quarterly requirements, external reporting in public filings and annual filings with regulators
  • Provide external auditors with work papers and data relating to annual audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Responsible for monthly SOX control adherence as well providing recommendations for any improvements noted.
  • Improve current schedules, tracking mechanisms, processes and procedures thru application of technology
  • Perform technical accounting research as requested.
  • Ensure that accounting procedures are adhered to in accordance with corporate policies and that established procedures are in compliance with GAAP.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Master’s degree preferred. Active CPA certification required
  • 3-4 years of general accounting experience, mix of public and industry preferred.
  • Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with SEC reporting.
  • Experience with annual audits, quarterly reviews & process controls used in SOX reporting.
  • High level of integrity and a strong sense of urgency and a results orientation.
  • Requires strong oral and written communications skills, computer literacy and professional presentation.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
