Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Revenue Accountant for our fast-growing client in Raleigh, NC 27612. The Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and will play a key part in analyzing customer contracts, managing revenue schedules, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and project billing.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain revenue schedules and related journal entries.
- Analyze and reconcile deferred revenue accounts and ensure alignment with contract terms.
- Apply ASC 606 principles to review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including revenue accruals and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reporting and provide revenue insights to internal stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline revenue recognition and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX controls, and relevant accounting standards.
- Leverage Sage Intacct to track, report, and reconcile revenue data effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 3+ years of Revenue Accounting and Project Billing experience required
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
