Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Receptionist to join a nonprofit in Raleigh. As a receptionist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient and smooth operations at the front desk. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to patients, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting co-payments. This is a full time, temp to hire position.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, providing information, answering inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
  • Accurately schedule appointments for patients
  • Verify patients’ insurance coverage and ensure all required authorizations are in place.
  • Conduct benefit eligibility checks to determine the coverage and limitations of patients’ insurance plans
  • Collect co-payments from patients
  • Greet patients, verify insurance information, and guide them through the check-in process. Collect necessary forms, signatures, and any outstanding balances
  • Assist in the maintenance and organization of patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide administrative support such as data entry, filing, and other general office tasks, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in health or human services field
  • Experience with managing medical records and completing billing forms
  • Experience with office management and appointment scheduling
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
