Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing manufacturer of cabling products who is looking for a Quality Engineering Assistant to join their team. This is a contract-hire position working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Engineering Assistant will perform product testing and initial quality evaluation of new vendors and inventory
- Candidate will perform optical and physical testing of first article and ongoing product inventory
- Candidate will conduct occasional disassembly and reassembly of inventory product for custom requests
- Candidate will perform mechanical/environmental tests on developmental products per guidelines
- Candidate will perform field testing of cables
- Candidate will perform minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Requirements:
- Candidates must have an associates degree in an Engineering or technical field or equivalent work experience; BA/BS degree is a plus
- Candidates must have strong writing, mathematical, and computer programming skills
- Candidates must have 1+ year experience in a laboratory environment or in the fiber optics industry
