Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing Manufacturer in the Wake Forest area looking for a Quality Engineer.

The Quality Engineer delivers product and process team support for manufacturing operations. This position also provides quality guidance and statistical problem-solving techniques to manufacturing operations and Engineering for new product introduction, process improvement, continuous improvement, and validation activities. Contributes to a quality plan, recommends most accurate measurement instruments and processes, and identifies and suggests quality systems and software.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead MRB activities and coordinate sorting and rework. Evaluate, communicate, and rectify in-process rejections, obtain disposition, and implement containment, corrective, and preventative action to ensure product performance and specification attainment
  • Lead Internal Audits and train other members of quality team to conduct audits.
  • Responsible for managing risk analysis, SWOT analysis, maintaining quality metrics, and analyzing data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Performing FAI and creation of NPI quality documents. Coordinating with Engineering, Program Management team, and Document Control to establish a quality system prior to builds.
  • Follow through to resolution RMAs, CARs, SCARs, CAPA, and ICARS. Perform quality trend analysis and take appropriate actions. Analyze nonconforming reports and returned products. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies to determine appropriate action and to solve a variety of problems.
  • Manage supplier quality issues.
  • Apply quality engineering practices and guidance to support manufacturing operations using Six Sigma tools, etc. Support Operations with appropriate technological and problem-solving skills and resources to prevent and minimize nonconforming situations
  • Develop, communicate, or train, and ensure adherence to quality standards, product specifications, work instructions, and procedures across a multifunctional manufacturing organization.
  • Assist in the development of PFMEA’s and PPAP’s

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; STEM, Engineering, or other related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years in an engineering function; Quality Engineering preferred
  • 2- 8 years Quality Assurance Experience
  • Experience in developing and implementing Quality Assurance plans and inspection planning
  • Prior experience in electromechanical assembly preferred
  • Experience in developing quality procedures and quality management systems preferred
  • Experience in technical project management preferred
  • NPI experience
  • Strong Knowledge in electronic PCB and electromechanical assembly, (Experience with Contract Manufacturing Service is a plus.)
  • Experience in IPC A-610 and J-STD-001.
  • Familiarity with PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, Cpk analysis, and PPAP
