Accentuate Staffing is assisting a well-established industrial equipment service company in the Triangle area that is seeking a Pump Mechanic/Service Technician to join their team. This is a contract-hire opportunity working 1st shift hours Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble industrial pumps, motors, and mixers
  • Diagnose equipment issues and determine the cause of mechanical failures
  • Test and verify repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. to assist with equipment installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Provide technical support to customers and assist with troubleshooting equipment concerns
  • Work with the engineering team to evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions
  • Receive, unload, organize, package, and ship equipment and replacement parts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and warehouse environment
  • Assist with other hands-on mechanical and shop-related projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Hands-on mechanical experience working with pumps, motors, machinery, heavy equipment, farm equipment, or similar systems
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to safely use common hand and power tools
  • Comfortable disassembling and rebuilding mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings, manuals, or equipment documentation
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment around equipment that may have strong wastewater/sewage odors
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% throughout the U.S.; travel expenses are covered
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a valid passport
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Must be comfortable with a hands-on position that involves lifting, moving, and working directly with mechanical equipment
