Accentuate Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property Accountant to join a client in Wake Forest, NC. The Property Accountant will play a key role in managing leasing activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and handling various accounting aspects related to property operations. The ideal candidate must have real estate experience, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in QuickBooks, with eventual transition to Great Plains. This is a remote position, but candidates must be local to Raleigh, NC or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of leasing activity, including managing lease agreements, rent collection, and lease escalations.
  • Maintain accurate lease records and ensure timely and accurate billing of rents and additional charges.
  • Prepare financial reports on a property level, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage all accounting aspects related to property operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and validate financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the conversion from QuickBooks to Great Plains and assist with the implementation process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in property accounting and real estate operations.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with Great Plains is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and lease management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis and reporting on a property level.
  • Experience with PNC accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
