Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a product specialist for global manufacturer in Raleigh. Entry level Engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.

The product specialist is a key part of companies product management organization.  The product specialist is one that provides product specific support to both external and internal principals including customers, end-users, installers,  sales personnel and sales channels, internal customer service and inside sales teams, engineering, development, product management and supply chain management.  The support provided ranges from thorough technical and application guidance to product life cycle management to include assisting with product development, inventory management, assisting with development of marketing aids and active monitoring of daily activities to ensure smooth and prompt transaction flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Support sales: respond to customer requests for application assistance, qualifying leads, assuring product selection, and providing other customer-required information as needed.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date product information masters for new and existing products, i.e.
  • Ordering guides, technical documents, presentations, product bulletins, brochures, catalogs, operating procedures, competitive analysis and benefits, etc., for internal and external use/distribution.
  • Perform monthly product family presentations to Director and Executive Level management
  • Support RFI, RFQ, and other quotation activity as required.
  • Support Product Management team with management of existing and new product life cycle to include pricing recommendations.
  • Support Product Management team with inventory management monitoring and recommendations for managing inventory possession day targets
  • Support Product Management team with introduction of new products and developing new markets and applications, including extensive customer contact
  • Investigate, develop, and document new products, methods and procedures as related to strategic markets and solutions.
  • Maintain project schedules and records for ISO compliance with respect to product design reviews, development, evaluation, and data gathering activity.
  • Provide product operation and training to support customers.  Create and maintain Recommended  Procedures documentation, including training videos, for new and existing products.
  • Build and maintain competitive product information library.

Requirements:

  • Four Year Engineering Degree (Electrical, Mechanical or Other Technical Based Degree)
  • One to three years’ experience in Fiber Optic based network field desired but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with specific proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and make sound recommendations and/or decisions based on self-directed thorough research and analysis
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
