Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Preconstruction Estimator for a Commercial Contractor in Raleigh. This position is responsible for providing high level estimating support for the team on major construction projects. It requires a team player mindset with the ambition to learn from seasoned estimators; a commitment to performing the process and procedure with a strict attention to detail and efficient time management in order to meet extreme deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Managerial support for the Preconstruction Vice President and Estimating Team.
- Bid Solicitation (phone, email) and Subcontractor Database management.
- Prepare, organize and maintain project plans/documents/bid proposals.
- Management of heavy volume of emails pertaining to questions about multiple projects from team members and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years industry experience.
- Advanced computer skills and experience with construction management software (Bluebeam,On Screen Takeoff), Bid Solicitation/Database programs, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Recent experience with AutoCAD, Assemble and Revit helpful but not required.
- Detail oriented.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Team player who is eager to assist their fellow coworkers and develop their skills and knowledge of the construction Industry.
- Strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking abilities are required in order to find solutions to various issues; to prioritize work and meet deadlines. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- In possession of valid driver’s license, in good standing.
