Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced Planning Manager for a growing manufacturer in Wilson, NC. The Planning Manager will be responsible for collaboration with Supply/Demand teams for building a consensus-based sales forecast and factory capacity to maintaining customer service and inventory control in finished goods with a focus on delivering total customer service satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for teammates and conduct regular one on one meetings frequently and performance evaluations to directs reports assess progress and provide feedback and development.
- Lead effective MRP planning, incorporating capacity constraints to consistently achieve over 99% customer service levels.
- Coordinate and challenge demand from domestic markets, consolidating into total factory demand and actively participating in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with domestic regions.
- Develop and maintain feasible Master Production Schedules (MPS), ensuring alignment between factory capabilities and material planning needs.
- Ensure internal resource plans are maintained, monitored, and aligned with production schedules.
- Achieve and maintain inventory targets for both raw materials and finished goods while meeting customer service objectives.
- Develop, communicate, and manage production schedules that align with ERP systems, driving efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with planners to monitor rough-cut capacity plans, identify supply chain risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead implementation.
- Work closely with Demand Planning to align supply plans with sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, and internal constraints.
- Maintain planning master data, including fixed periods, production/purchase quantities, and safety stock levels, ensuring integrity within all planning tools and systems.
- Ensure adherence to all company safety standards and successfully complete assigned safety and compliance training.
- Support internal and external quality audits as required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through training, tool optimization, and strategic planning.
- Lead and develop a team of planners and buyers, fostering a culture of diversity, growth, and high performance.
Requirements:
- BS degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, business, or another related discipline
- SAP Experience is required as this role with assist with an SAP Implementation
- 5+ years in a demand planning or similar supply chain role.
- Consumer Packaged Goods experience is preferred
- GMP experience is required
- Ability to consolidate large volumes of complex information, interpret & communicate to stakeholders
- Must have solid working knowledge using an MRP system (Kinaxis strongly preferred)
