Accentuate Staffing is working with a well established Raleigh client who is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and associated reports.
  • Complete and distribute applicable payroll reports to Financial Services
  • Distribute and collect completed new hire paperwork from new employees.  Verify US work eligibility via E-Verify system.  Enter employee data into HRIS.
  • Review benefit options and enroll employees in eligible benefits.
  • Enter new hire, employee changes, and terminations on insurance providers’ websites.
  • Responsible for ACA Compliance including accurate completing of 1095-C’s/1094-C in HRIS and filing to IRS.
  • Maintain data in President’s Compensation Module
  • Reconcile monthly insurance benefit invoices and submit to Financial Services for payments.
  • Assist staff with HRIS questions and issues and payroll and benefit questions/issues.
  • Understand, apply and communicate conceptual elements of benefits and company policies.
  • Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
  • Keeps employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in timely a fashion.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field and minimum of (3) years of job-related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with processing payroll.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll and benefits. ( 5+ years)
  • Extensive knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications.
  • CPP Certification
