Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Payroll Coordinator to join an e-commerce and retail company in RTP, NC.  This role will be responsible for all accounting functions related to payroll processing for multi-location business units across the company and a sound knowledge of applicable payroll laws and regulations. This is a Direct Hire opportunity!

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for timely completion of weekly payroll process including collection of data, timesheets, importing time from HRIS Time and Attendance, verification of payroll data, printing and/or stuffing pay checks and direct deposit advices and transmitting electronic files to bank.
  • Calculate new hire pay, termination pay, and any required adjustment to normal pay.
  • Ensure that computing, withholding, and deductions are processed correctly.
  • Process fund transfers for payroll, payroll taxes, and designated withholdings within required deadlines.
  • Validate master data changes as identified on the employee change report.
  • Generate payroll reports for all departments.
  • Place stop payments on payroll checks and reissue as needed.
  • Follow up with Time Keeping Managers and HR representatives on missing information or timesheets status.
  • Maintain payroll related supplies inventory.
  • Responsible for resolving software related problems in co-operation with IT and Paycom (HRIS)
  • Coordinate with Accounting for weekly and bi-weekly payroll funding.
  • Manage all aspects of employee garnishments.
  • Handle all incoming phone calls and emails from HR representative and employees related to payroll
  • Able to help with benefits administration if need it

Requirements:

  • Year-end W-2s
  • Must have computer-based payroll processing experience with a multi-location business and a sound working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Clear understanding of accounting procedures and principles.
  • This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Candidate must have the ability to relate well to staff and members while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality related to all information with which he/she has knowledge.
  • Good customer services skills as this role will work with multiple time approval managers on a weekly basis
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
