Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Hybrid Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join an established organization to support the company’s continued growth and success. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and critical thinking skills and will be responsible for processing Payroll, Weekly and Semi-monthly as well as administer Benefits for organization. The ideal candidate will be the Subject Matter Expert within Payroll.

This full-time position reporting into the HR Manager and is based out of the corporate headquarters in North Raleigh.  The job is hybrid, requiring a few days in the office and a few days working from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly & semi-monthly payroll runs
  • State law compliance
  • State SUI & withholding numbers and rates – maintenance & registration in new states
  • Payroll changes – raises, bonuses, new hires, terms, reporting structures
  • Training managers how to use system and answering questions as necessary
  • VOEs through Work Number
  • Timekeeping maintenance and review
  • New employee set up
  • Manage enrollments in several platforms
    • Cigna – med, den
    • VSP – vis
    • Standard – STD, LTD, GTL, voluntary life
    • 401(k)
    • COBRA & FSA
    • HSA Bank – HSA
  • Taxable LTD & GTL
  • Compliance
    • ERISA & Cafeteria Section 125
    • COBRA
    • ACA
  • Approve and audit invoices in all above platforms
  • New employee set up
  • Manage FMLA leave
  • Manage short- and long-term disability claims

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree is preferred
  • 3-5 years of Payroll processing experience within a fast paced changing environment and have had previous experience being the SME for Payroll
  • Must be proficient with MS Office and have intermediate Excel skills
  • ADP Experience is preferred
