Accentuate Staffing is seeking a  Payroll/Benefits Manager for a growing commercial construction company in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience managing a payroll/benefits team within a larger organization.  This is a direct hire 100% onsite role with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits including affordable health insurance, paid time off, holiday pay and a 401k plan with a generous match.

Responsibilities:

  • Validate the process of new employees, terminations, transfers and promotions
  • Be involved with checking and auditing employee master data within JD Edwards and Viewpoint software.
  • Manage the verification of timekeeping information for employees in Viewpoint and HeavyJob
  • Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
  • Review and verify source documents to keep in line with internal/external audits.
  • Complete requests for pay-related documents including statements and verifications
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and FSC policy guidelines.
  • Liaise with the HR department and accounting department to ensure accurate information.
  • Assist with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees and upper management.
  • Customer service – Excellent communication abilities to deal with employee complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees and upper management.
  • Keep track of pay periods, hourly wages, salaries, overtime, and vacation days of employees
  • Outstanding organization and time management skills

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in business in accounting/business FPC/CPP Certification is a plus.
  • Highly proficient in computer skills and technology
  • Ability to use a query tool to create reports
  • Accurate and meticulous in data entry
  • Strong clerical, administrative and general office skills
  • Exceptional calculation and memory skills
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Able to work in front of a computer for long hours at a time
  • Some knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations.
