Accentuate Staffing has an immediate need for a Part-time HR Coordinator.  College Students that are obtaining a degree in Business, Human Resources or Psychology that would like to gain some invaluable experience are encourage to apply. This position will be 25 hours per week on site in Durham. Our client would also allow part time work when school goes back into session. The HR Coordinator will perform the daily administrative functions to support the HR Manager and Recruiter to include onboarding, maintaining documentation within HRIS and ATS, coordinating and scheduling interviews, supporting employees and manager with HR related questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support HR Manager with daily functions as assigned
  • Assist with implementation of new projects
  • Maintain personnel files in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Provides support for routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and culture; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of human resource experience required.
  • Self-starter that requires minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS (ADP) systems.
