Accentuate Staffing is teaming up with a Global Pharmaceutical Company in the Raleigh in search Microbiologist. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and benefits, working onsite. This is a 2nd shift position working four, ten hour shifts from 11AM to 10PM, with three days off per week. The ideal candidate has the ability to perform biological assays and other specialized microbiologist techniques.
Responsibilities:
- On a daily basis, performs biological assays of clinical and/or commercial product raw materials, production in-process samples, finished product, environmental monitoring samples, process & cleaning validation samples and components as well as some specialized techniques.
- Maintain compliance with USP, FDA and other regulatory body requirements, company SOPs and approved license requirements.
- Comparing results with specifications and accurately documenting findings.
- Perform necessary tasks for laboratory assays such as, particulate testing, growth promotion of media, sterility testing, raw material testing, bioburden, membrane filtration, plate reading, endotoxin testing.
Requirements:
- BS in Biology, Microbiology or related scientific discipline.
- 1-3 years of microbiology experience in a pharmaceutical working environment.
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring, filtration, aseptic technique, particulate testing, investigation writing, kinetic LAL and gel-clot LAL.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety, cGMPs, GLPs and FDA requirements.
