Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting a Medical Billing Specialist for a medical provider in the Raleigh area. This is a possible temp to hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper documentation of claims and forms for billing procedures
- Maintain all accounts receivable files
- Follow up on collection of receivables
- Scan all invoices into Mineral Tree database
- Maintain all current information on payment policies and third-party payers
- Monitor AR to identify account and billing errors, as well as coding errors and rebilling needs
- Follow up on past due accounts
- Make follow up calls on all insurance payers on outstanding or denied claims
- Assist with month end duties
- Work with team to complete projects in a timely process
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical billing environment
- Automated billing systems preferred
- Highly skilled with new applications; MS Office proficiency
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Advanced data entry skill set
