Accentuate Staffing is hiring a Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established, industry leader in the construction industry. The ideal candidate has several years of experience in estimating several hundred thousand and multi-million dollar projects. This is a Direct Hire opportunity!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial analysis of mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure required documentation is present
- Provide narratives for selected portions of a project cost estimate to adequately describe mechanical scope and level of quality within an estimate
- Solicit sub-contractor pricing and bids for mechanical trades in preparation of cost estimate
- Provide initial pricing for areas of the project estimate where directed
Requirements:
- Proficient in preconstruction technology such as: Microsoft Applications, xPRES applications, INSITE, Grade Beam/iSqFt, etc
- Have a basic understanding of VDC/BIM and its applications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of mechanical estimating, controls, and/or mechanical engineering experience
