Responsibilities:

• Researches and analyzes design proposals and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
• Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
• Creates 2D/3D CAD models / drawings of Tools, Gauges, Automation Equipment, Facility Layouts, etc.
• Leads Lean initiatives (i.e. Value Stream Mapping, 5S)
• Creates written and / or video work instructions for use by others in the organization to perform their work.
• Creates and modifies Routings in the ERP system to reflect new / changed product specifications and / or processes.
• Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
• Assists Tooling Engineer in the procurement maintenance and repair of tooling for manufacturing equipment

Requirements:

• Leads projects and interfaces with sales, manufacturing, quality and the test lab
• Specifies system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
• Proficiency with 2D & 3D CAD
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, as a team member and a team leader
• Highly motivated, self-starter
• Excellent writing, presentation, communication and organizational skills
