Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established company in Raleigh, NC with their need for a Manager of Conferences and Meetings.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity that includes planning and implementing various events throughout North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, professional expertise, and direction in the research, development, implementation and execution of a comprehensive curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain highly professional standards and procedures for implementing training programs in keeping with the image and reputation of association.
  • Research standards, practices, and trends for leadership development.
  • Researches and develops training class curriculum and
  • Select appropriate training methods to achieve training
  • Identify, review and recommend potential training venues and subject matter experts to serve as instructors
  • Coordinate the delivery of training
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness and learning that occurs at conferences and events
  • Modify training courses based on the feedback from
  • Prepare written reports for management and team members including analysis and recommendations.
  • Oversee and manage the conferences, meetings and training programs for the Association.
  • Identify, review and recommend potential facilities for each event.
  • Manage the budget and schedules of all Association events.
  • Inspect venue to ensure they meet the Association’s requirements.
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness and learning that occurs at conference and training events.
  • Prepare pre and post-event reports and analysis and assesses opportunities and makes recommendations for improving service to the sheriffs and implements those improvements as appropriate.
  • Travel to and work onsite at Association meetings, oversees logistics required for success.

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years experience required coordinating, leading and managing conferences, meetings and training events
  • Minimum of five years management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and coach employees
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
