Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established biopharmaceutical company in the Cary area who is hiring a Laboratory Technician. This is a contract-hire position working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Technician will take inventory, inspect, verify, and assemble clinical specimens and data
- Technician will file and retrieve information
- Technician will complete daily checks of freezers and supportive equipment
- Technician will review and approve data in support of releasing biological materials
- Technician will utilize quality assurance principles to ensure all materials are labeled correctly for release
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific field or be working to obtain a Bachelor’s degree
- Candidates must have 1+ year of experience collecting, cataloging and storing samples of biological material, such as urine, blood, tissue, cells, DNA, RNA, and protein
- Candidates with experience with Quality Assurance, reviewing and releasing batch records as well as performing inventory reviews a plus
- Candidates must have a demonstrated ability using LIMS in both GMP and GLP regulated environments
