
Laboratory Operations Manager
Accentuate Staffing is partnering with an established biopharmaceutical organization who is hiring for a Laboratory Operations Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity with relocation assistance, working onsite. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and strategic leader with hands-on expertise in biologics development and analytical operations and a proven ability to lead high-performing laboratory teams within a GMP-regulated CDMO environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key biologics clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and responsiveness.
- Oversee analytical services supporting biologics and other large molecules, including bioseparations, mass spectrometry, characterization, release, and stability testing.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in biologics for internal and external stakeholders, translating client needs into actionable project plans.
- Lead capacity planning, resource allocation, and prioritization of biologics projects across the analytical team.
- Drive operational efficiency, laboratory innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor, train, and develop team members, supporting succession planning and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on industry trends and adapt laboratory practices as necessary.
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree with 8+ years, Master’s degree with 10+ years, or Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience leading laboratory teams.
- Experience in development, validation, and verification of analytical testing methods.
- Experience with regulatory inspections or client audits.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical GMP environment; CDMO/CMO experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of biologics modalities (mAbs, proteins, cell & gene therapies) and analytical methodologies (HPLC/UPLC, electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, AUC, UV/Vis, potency assays, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven business acumen and ability to balance scientific excellence with commercial priorities.
