Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a growing food manufacturer in the Middlesex, NC area that’s looking to add a Food Safety & Quality Lab Technician to their team. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a 2nd shift schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00pm–3:30am. We’re seeking candidates who have experience supporting food safety and quality control efforts in a production setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine product evaluations and assist with lab testing to ensure product consistency and compliance
- Support raw material checks and perform inspections during various stages of production
- Assist with blending and measuring ingredients as needed for production batches
- Track and document test results and quality findings in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicate with production teams to report any deviations or quality issues
- Help maintain sanitation standards within the quality lab and production floor
- Play an active role in upholding company food safety policies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory procedures throughout the facility
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of quality assurance or lab experience in a food or manufacturing environment
- Understanding of food safety practices including GMPs and HACCP
- Detail-oriented with good communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the shift
- High school diploma or equivalent
