Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing high-tech company in the Raleigh area who is seeking a Lab Test Engineer.
This role is responsible for mentoring test technicians and monitoring the execution of tests on systems and components at various stages of the product development cycle. You will be responsible for accurate data collection, data analysis and reporting. You will also be expected to participate in cross-functional teams, providing critical and objective data-based feedback to drive product success.
Responsibilities:
- Developing test plans and test schedules based on PRD, TRS, DFMEA and other technical and customer requirements.
- Meeting with the product design team to determine product testing parameters.
- Troubleshooting any testing issues and streamlining the testing procedures.
- Training, mentoring and leading test technicians to ensure accurate test execution and data collection.
- Contributing to the full testing lifecycle from test development to reviewing, analyzing, and reporting.
- Ensuring all tests and procedures are professionally executed and meet company and industry standards.
- Support customer use case and product integration test activities
- Documenting and reporting findings through various methods such as oral presentations, technical reports, and formal reports.
- Communicating across functional teams to address issues and needs
- Supporting product development engineers in a variety of test activities ranging from proof-of-concept evaluation to formal manufacturing verification testing.
- Supporting company-wide efforts to uphold QMS and ISO standards
- Maintaining test repository and gaining in-dept knowledge of product performance and capabilities
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Engineering with 5-7 years of experience. 2-5 years of experience in a test environment.
- Experience with DAQ systems, data collection and data analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- High attention to detail and technical aptitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and execution skills
- Ability to give constructive criticism with a positive outlook
- Ability to set priorities and organize multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to work with minimal oversight
- Ability to formulate custom test documents and SOPs
- Strong competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
