Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a global manufacturer in Raleigh who is seeking an Instructional Designer to join their team. This Curriculum Designer will work with subject matter experts and Education Development Team to develop content for Instructor-led and Web-based technical training courses.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively in visual, oral and written form.
  • Apply current research and theory to the practice of instructional design.
  • Update and improve one’s knowledge, skills and attitudes pertaining to instructional design and related fields.
  • Apply fundamental research skills to instructional design projects.
  • Identify and resolve ethical and legal implications of design in the workplace.
  • Conduct a needs assessment.
  • Design a curriculum or program.
  • Select and use a variety of techniques for determining instructional content.
  • Select, modify, or create a design and development model appropriate for a given project.
  • Select and use a variety of techniques to define and sequence the instructional content and strategies.
  • Select or modify existing instructional materials.
  • Develop instructional materials.
  • Design instruction that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners and groups of learners.
  • Evaluate and assess instruction and its impact.
  • Plan and manage instructional design projects.
  • Promote collaboration, partnerships and relationships among the participants in a design project
  • Apply business skills to managing instructional design.

Requirements:

  • BA degree in instructional technology, curriculum design, or related field (transcripts required) – new graduates welcome
  • Experience in adult learning, curriculum design, or training preferably in a technical field
  • Proven experience in the development and delivery of course curriculum
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Web browsers (PC and Mobile)
  • Experience with course management and administration a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to details, highly organized, and computer literate
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
