Accentuate Staffing is seeking an Human Resources/ Payroll Specialist for an opportunity with a manufacturer in Morrisville, NC.  The HR Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for both exempt and non exempt employees as well as assisting in general HR duties.  This is a 100% onsite direct hire role with a competitive benefit package.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing for weekly (hourly) and bi-weekly (salary) and supplemental payrolls.
  • Serve as a day-to-day HR and payroll resource for employees in regards to questions, concerns, & changes
  • Researches discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation (e.g. time sheets, leave time, etc.)
  • Assists with year-end processing and other year-end payroll and benefit reporting requirements.
  • Assist as needed with payroll tax reporting and compliance
  • Special projects related to compensation, benefits, and payroll
  • Process pre-employment background verifications, references and schedule pre-employment drug screens
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance – update employee handbook as needed
  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of payroll, human resource files and records
  • Assist HR Manager with HR functions/projects  as needed – recruiting, onboarding, & employee relations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or accounting
  • Minimum  2 years of experience or in fully  processing payroll and human resource duties and task
  • Paylocity Experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information in a professional manner
  • Must maintain effective written and oral communication/English skills, as well as excellent customer service abilities
  • Ability to establish/maintain effective relationships with staff at all levels
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple administrative projects
