Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an HR Generalist to join a global manufacturing company in the Cary area. This position will provide support in all areas of HR to include policy, staffing, benefits and compensation, records management, reporting and administration and compliance.
Responsibilities:
-Maintains up-to-date and compliant employee files and HR information.
-Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the business.
-Assists with clerical aspects of employment, such as obtaining signed offer letters, notifying the department of employee’s starting date, process workflow, and assist in onboarding tasks.
-Participates in the development and delivery of the New Hire Orientation Program.
-Coordinates and/or supports organizational training and development activities.
-Responsible for processing benefit plan enrollments, changes and terminations; coordinates with HR colleagues, payroll, and benefits providers; acts as a liaison between employees and providers in cases of enrollment or claims discrepancies.
-Participates in annual open enrollment planning meetings; participates in employee enrollment meetings, preparation of materials.
-Assists with the timely and compliant management of leaves (Disability/FMLA).
-Administers COBRA for group health plans.
-Audits employee personnel files and records for suitable content and legal compliance.
-Maintains job description inventory and supports full life-cycle recruiting process at the corporate site as well as support for other locations as needed.
-Researches sources for viable candidates and establishes rapport with all sources (such as schools with applicable programs, competitors, area employers, professional associations, etc.). Attends job fairs and careers events.
-Manages reporting of recruiting-based analytics; prepares report to track the efficiency and cost of recruiting processes.
-Sources passive candidates to establish a pipeline of talent for future openings.
Works with external recruiters and employment agencies as needed to identify and recruit candidates.
-Functions as subject matter expert for Behavioral Interview Training; utilizes this method for interviews and conducts training for hiring managers on Behavioral Interviewing.
-Participate in projects and other administrative duties as requested.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Organization or related discipline
-Three or more years of HR Generalist experience within a progressive Human Resources department
-HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP/SCP) preferred
-Demonstrated hands-on experience with performance and talent management, policy interpretation, talent acquisition, onboarding and exits/separations
-Outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
-Superior writing skills to support correspondence, reports, and employee communications
-Solid understanding of employee law fundamentals (FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, ACA, etc.)
-Solid understanding of employee health and welfare benefits, including plan documentation
-Solid understanding of basic compensation processes
-Demonstrated solid capabilities in MS Office software
