Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a full time HR Benefits and Payroll Coordinator for a medical manufacturer in Durham, NC. The HR Benefits and Payroll Coordinator is responsible for payroll and benefits administration, and employee recognition programs. The ideal candidate will also conduct employee benefit programs, compliance, and education/ enrollment meetings with new hires.

Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Maintain meticulous records of payroll details, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, deductions, and related information for both payroll and benefits.
  • Handle payroll-related taxes, benefits administration, and other deductions.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement plans, ensuring compliance and effective communication with employees.
  • Conduct employee benefit programs, compliance, and education/enrollment meetings for new hires.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries, benefits enrollment, and changes, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Responsible for the annual filing of all related documents, including Annual Workers Comp Audit, 401K Audit, and other relevant to the role’s functions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, such as benefits providers and payroll service providers, to resolve issues and ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years Payroll Administration experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years Benefit Administration experience preferred.
  • Experience in a medical device or FDA-regulated environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in multiple HRIS/payroll systems and software, specifically Paylocity and Paycom.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in payroll and benefits systems, as well as Microsoft Office/Google Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
