Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a fast-growing, biotechnology company in efforts to hire Histotechnologists. This is a direct hire opportunity, offering competitive pay, working onsite. The ideal candidate has six months to a year of experience as a Histotechnologist in a clinical laboratory setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepping stained and unstained slides from formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues blocks.
- Utilizing microtomes, water baths, automated stainers, automated cover slippers, tissue processors and embedding centers.
- Independently determine appropriate block orientation and alignment, knife angles and settings to obtain representative sections.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and report issues with instrumentation, samples or the lab itself.
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree combined with one year of clinical laboratory experience.
- Experience working with pathology related laboratory SOPs and protocols, as well as CAP/CLIA regulations.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and LIMS.
- Preference to candidates with an HTL/ASCP certifications or those in the process of obtaining their HTL/ASCP certifications.
