Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established school in the Raleigh area recruit for a Groundskeeper Supervisor. This is a temp to hire opportunity, working on 1st shift (7am-4pm), with some required overtime as necessary. If interested, please submit resume.
Responsibilities:
- Supervisor will supervisor grounds crew, set schedules, and plan work assignments
- Supervisor will train new hires, and conduct periodic performance reviews
- Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining all of the school grounds, including practice and playing fields
- Supervisor will assist with mixing and applying chemicals and fertilizers
- Supervisor will be responsible for operating ride on mowers as well as trimming and pruning hedges, bushes, and trees
- Supervisor will assist with preparing the campus for severe weather, as well as snow and ice removal
- Supervisor may be required to work overtime on some nights and weekends as necessary based on severe weather or campus events
Requirements:
- Candidate must have a 2 year degree in Turf Management or Horticulture or 5+ years equivalent experience
- Candidates must have 2+ years supervisory experience in a related field
- Candidate must be very comfortable applying fertilizers and chemicals as well as maintaining grounds
- Candidate must be practiced in operating a variety of equipment to include mowers, hedgers, blowers, edgers, etc.
- Will be required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
