Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a local, well-established engineering firm who is hiring for a PE/PG Geo-Environmental Professional. This is a direct hire opportunity, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, working onsite. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Phase I/II ESAs, UST investigations/closures, and soil & groundwater remediation, with the ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, Geo-Environmental Assessments, UST Site Checks, Initial Abatement Actions, UST Closures, and soil & groundwater remediation projects.
  2. Conduct fieldwork, including environmental sampling, site evaluations, and supervising subcontractors.
  3. Analyze environmental data and prepare high-quality technical reports, deliverables, and recommendations.
  4. Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws.
  5. Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules for new and ongoing projects.
  6. Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff to ensure consistent quality and professional development.
  7. Maintain accurate project documentation, including field notes, laboratory results, and regulatory correspondence.
  8. Assist in business development by providing technical input on client projects and RFP responses.
  9. Stay current on industry standards, environmental regulations, and best practices in Geo-Environmental work.

Requirements:

  1. Current Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license.
  2. 5+ years of experience in environmental engineering, geology, or Geo-Environmental consulting.
  3. Proficiency with environmental field equipment and technical software (GIS, AutoCAD, PID meters, sampling tools, etc.).
  4. Experience managing environmental projects from fieldwork through reporting and client delivery.
  5. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, including UST and soil/groundwater remediation standards.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting, client interaction, and regulatory submissions.
  7. Ability to travel for field investigations, traverse rough terrain, work in varying weather conditions, and lift up to 75 lbs.
