Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established manufacturer of construction testing equipment who is seeking a mechanically inclined General Laborer with some manufacturing or machine shop experience to join their team! This is an entry-level opportunity with room to learn, grow, and develop new skills in a hands-on production environment. This is a contract-hire position working 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various saws and assist with cutting raw materials to precise specifications.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality.
- Assist with molding processes, equipment maintenance, and material handling.
- Safely load and unload materials using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment and saw issues to help keep production moving.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Requirements:
- Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred.
- Comfortable using calipers and various saws.
- Ability to read measurements and work within tight tolerances.
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
- Forklift certification/experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the day.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well as part of a team.
