Looking to launch your career in Firmware Engineering? Our client is hiring for an on-site, full-time direct hire role! They require a BS or BA and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in testing, validation, and debugging tools. Strong programming and code writing skills are a must. Responsibilities:

  • Basic understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) Systems, Radar mechanisms, and Electronic Countermeasures.
  • An introduction to debugging FPGA using tools and standard laboratory equipment.
  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of FPGA configurations.
  • Apply foundational knowledge in HDL languages: VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog.
  • Utilize the Xilinx Vivado suite for FPGA design and development tasks.
  • Engage in preliminary simulations and assist in creating testbenches.
  • Contribute to system enhancements and implementations.
  • Support in scripting, testing procedures, debug activities, and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to optimize code structure and functionality.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed.

Requirements:

  • US citizenship mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain or currently hold a security clearance.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Basic comprehension of computer hardware components.
  • Familiarity or keen interest in VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog.
  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
  • Educational & Professional Background:
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience, though not a strict requirement.
  • Foundational skills in programming or coding.
  • Knowledge or interest in tools associated with testing, validation, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with the Linux environment is a plus but not mandatory.
