
Fire Alarm Technician
Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing company who is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join their team. This role will service Eastern North Carolina and focus on the installation, programming, inspection, maintenance, and repair of Edwards EST fire alarm and life safety systems to ensure compliance with NFPA codes, local regulations, and company standards. This is a direct hire opportunity working Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:
- Install, program, configure, and service Edwards EST fire alarm systems and associated equipment
- Conduct routine inspections, functional testing, and scheduled maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems
- Troubleshoot issues, perform necessary repairs, and confirm proper system operation
- Accurately complete service records, including reports, work orders, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with customers, contractors, and internal staff
- Keep current with NFPA requirements, fire alarm codes, and industry standards
- Respond to on-call assignments and provide emergency service support as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on fire alarm technician experience, specifically with Edwards EST systems (including programming and troubleshooting)
- NICET Level II certification or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred)
- In-depth understanding of NFPA 72, applicable fire codes, and electrical regulations
- Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
- Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving history
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, etc.
- Comfortable standing, walking, or working at heights for extended periods of time
