Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing local hi-tech medical device company looking for a Field Service Engineer. This role will be working directly with clients/ customers.

Responsibilities:

Service Repair:

  • Travels within the US to perform onsite service repairs and calibration of medical devices.
  • Responds to external and internal technical inquiries, over phone and email.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves customer issues.
  • Works to resolve open cases in an effective and timely manner.
  • Maintains an accurate record of all communications through case ticketing system.
  • Maintains current inventory of spare parts/tools and provides regular reports.
  • Performing QC audits with our 3PL partners when necessary.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Consistently follows regulatory guidance regarding the maintenance and repair of Class I medical devices.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to verify all regulatory requirements are met.

Operational and Educational:

  • Attends and successfully completes all technical training programs required by state/federal regulations and company policy.
  • Escalates unresolved issues to supervisor.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Associate degree in mechanical / electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent technical education is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent technical education is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License issued in the employee’s state of residence required.
  • 1-3 years of related technical support, field service, or engineering experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Linux competence and strong knowledge of IT and networking environments is preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comprehend and communicate in the English language.
  • Detail oriented and problem-solving mindset with good interpersonal skills; must be a team player.
  • Manual dexterity is necessary to perform job activities. The ability to use common hand tools and small power equipment is required.
