Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a biotechnology company in the RTP who is hiring for a Fermentation Research Technician. This is a direct hire opportunity, offering competitive pay working onsite. The ideal candidate has the knowledge and experience to support projects related to new enzyme product development.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting new enzyme product development projects within animal nutrition.
- Independently designing experiments and troubleshoot as needed.
- Communicating results of experiments in technical reports and oral presentations.
- Regularly performing plasmid construction, strain engineering, fermentation and enzymatic assay development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field with a minimum or two years of experience OR a Master’s degree in a scientific field.
- Skilled in various molecular biology related techniques such as; qPCR analysis, analyzing plasmid sequencing results, constructing plasmids, optimizing PCR conditions and designing primers.
- Experience with enzyme kinetics, protein characterization, analytical biochemistry and enzyme assay development.
- Experience with pilot to large-scale fermentation is highly preferred.
