
Facilities Manager
Accentuate Staffing is assisting a well-established nonprofit organization who is hiring a Facilities Manager to join their team! This is a direct hire opportunity offering a flexible schedule and a stable work environment for someone who enjoys a hands-on facilities role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, safety, and daily operations of the buildings and grounds
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance such as replacing fixtures, changing valves, or troubleshooting small issues before calling vendors
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for HVAC, landscaping, fire alarm systems, and custodial services
- Maintain and manage the facilities maintenance budget
- Coordinate maintenance projects, building upgrades, and equipment procurement
- Serve as the primary contact for security monitoring companies and local agencies regarding building-related matters
- Ensure facilities remain safe, secure, and compliant with regulations
- Respond to emergency calls and be able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes if needed
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and facilities documentation
- Support internal teams with office moves, workspace adjustments, and facility-related needs
Requirements:
- Prior facilities management or building maintenance experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform light maintenance tasks
- Experience coordinating and managing maintenance vendors and service contracts
- Familiarity with building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and fire systems
- Ability to troubleshoot facility issues and identify preventative solutions
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license
