Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Associate for a client in Dunn.  The primary responsibility is maintenance service and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting.  Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Associate for a client in Dunn.  The primary responsibility is maintenance service and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and equipment/vehicle servicing.  and equipment/vehicle servicing.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and physical condition of building does not deteriorate.
  • Assembles, installs, and/or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment; assemble/dismantle/install furniture.
  • Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them by reading electrical schematics checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Inspects, operates, and tests machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Records maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Replace light bulbs, hang pictures/shelving, clean carpet and strip/wax floors
  • Transport maintenance equipment as assigned; assist with maintenance of vehicles.
  • Maintains supplies and inventory and performs regularly scheduled inspections of safety devices (i.e. fire extinguishers)

Requirements:

  • HSD/GED; trade school certification or combination of experience and training preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in maintenance/housekeeping outside the home; five years facilities/maintenance experience preferred
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record
  • Experience using tools ranging from common hand and power tools (such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
