Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing manufacturing company in the Youngsville area who is hiring an Extrusion Operator to join their team. This is a contract to hire opportunity working on 1st shift, 8am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Operator will set up and run extrusion and glue machinery, performing quality checks, and routine maintenance.
- Operator will monitor equipment during production to ensure consistent product quality, accurately measure dimensions using tools like calipers, and report production data.
- Operator will maintain inventory accuracy by tracking material usage, minimizing waste, and assisting with physical inventories and changeovers.
- Operator will uphold safety and cleanliness standards, participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and safely move materials using forklifts and manual methods.
Requirements:
- Operator must have 2–5 years of experience in extrusion, glue operations, or batch mixing in a manufacturing environment.
- Operator must have strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable operating industrial machinery and performing minor maintenance.
- Operator must have the ability to read a metric tape measure and use precision tools such as calipers.
- Operator must have the physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving climbing, kneeling, or lifting.
- Operator must be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and open to learning and process improvement, with the potential to grow into leadership roles.
