Accentuate Staffing is assisting a growing civil engineering company in the RTP area who is hiring an Equipment Service & Calibration Technician to join their team. This is a contract to hire opportunity working on 1st shift 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair nuclear gauges and related laboratory/testing equipment
- Perform nuclear gauge calibrations, including 3-block and 5-block calibrations
- Prepare and maintain calibration records and documentation to support customer compliance requirements
- Provide technical support to customers via phone and internal communication channels
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to resolve equipment and service issues
- Utilize proprietary software tools during the calibration and documentation process
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with prior experience working on machinery or technical equipment
- Hands-on experience using hand tools and shop equipment (e.g., drills, presses)
- Basic electronics knowledge; soldering experience preferred
- Previous nuclear density gauge calibration experience is a strong plus, but not required
- Comfortable communicating with customers and providing technical support
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
