Accentuate Staffing is working with a Construction company in the Franklinton, NC area who is seeking an Entry level Estimator. This role is responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by client’s documents and provides complete conceptual and total bid price.
Responsibilities:
• Reviews and evaluates Requests for Estimates.
• Prepares weekly bid calendar and ensures timely completion of estimates.
• Reviews estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
• Create job folders.
• Reviews documents and understands scope of work to bid.
• Obtains pricing for materials.
• Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.
• Where predetermined standard(s) are not available, makes an estimate.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Construction field and (nice to have) three to five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret plans and estimate documents
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- To perform the job successfully, an individual should be proficient with CAD, estimating software and spreadsheet software and should have knowledge of word processing software, e-mail software and the use of the Internet. Learn and understand operation of Titan software.
