Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a client in Liberty, NC to find an Electrical Project Engineer to work on a 4-6 month project. The ideal candidate will have experience commissioning electrical plans to ensure proper design, installation, and operation of all electrical components for manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scope Definition:

  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and technical evaluations to determine project viability.

Design and Development:

  • Create detailed electrical designs, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate materials, components, and equipment for the project.

Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet project milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or roadblocks that may arise.
  • Implement effective risk management strategies and contingency plans.

Procurement and Vendor Management:

  • Identify and liaise with suppliers and vendors to procure electrical components and services.
  • Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate contracts to obtain the best value for the project.

Quality Control and Testing:

  • Oversee electrical testing and commissioning activities to ensure the functionality and safety of electrical systems.
  • Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks to meet project specifications.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare regular project status reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, change orders, and project records.

Team Collaboration:

  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure that electrical systems comply with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Familiarity with electrical design software and industry-specific tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
