Accentuate Staffing is partnering with biotechnology company who is looking for an EHS Facilities Engineer to join their growing production facility. This is a direct hire opportunity, offering competitive pay and benefits working onsite. The ideal candidate has the ability to plan, direct and lead efforts to maintain equipment and facilities in a safe and compliant manner.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serving as acting safety officer, overseeing all aspects of EHS planning, policy, and operations.
  2. Ensures the facilities space and functional capabilities meet ongoing business needs by supporting the planning, implementing and maintenance of both the infrastructure and equipment within the production facility.
  3. Continuously ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS standards and industry codes.
  4. Develops and maintains a facility management program including preventative maintenance, strategic and capital planning, budgeting and life-cycle management.
  5. Lead initiation, authoring and completion of Quality System elements related to site safety initiatives including change controls, CAPAPs, and deviations.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree combined with a minimum of two to four years in an EHS role in a pharmaceutical or life sciences related facility.
  2. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing both site Emergency Management and Chemical Hygiene plans.
  3. Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with production equipment, including automated systems.
  4. Experience with RCRA and DOT requirements for waste disposal.
  5. Clear knowledge of QMS elements such as CAPAs, change controls and deviations.
  6. Experience conducting HAZOP assessments for both equipment and processes.
  7. Knowledge of industrial hygiene as well as safety procedures, laws, and regulations. Certified Industrial Hygienist is highly preferred.
